Melanie Keller | Artistic Associate
Melanie Keller returns to First Folio this season in Salvage . She will also be appearing in Tom Jones at Northlight Theatre this winter. Other First Folio credits include Portia in The Merchant of Venice, Olivia in Twelfth Night as well as productions of Jeeves in Bloom, Design for Living, Angel Street, Private Lives and The Importance of Being Earnest. She is also a member of Signal Ensemble and recently won a Jeff Award for Principal Actress for her work in East of Berlin and The Russian Play. She has appeared in Signal’s productions of The Weir (Jeff Nomination-Best Supporting Actress), She Stoops to Conquer, Landslide and Much Ado about Nothing. She was a Chicago Fellow at the Stratford Festival of Canada, where she appeared in Caesar and Cleopatra, Love's Labour’s Lost and Romeo and Juliet and was the winner of a Tyrone Guthrie award. Other credits include A Life at Northlight Theatre, Hamlet and King John (Chicago Shakespeare), Marathon ’33 (Strawdog), and productions with Next, Metropolis and BackStage, among others. Melanie trained at the Birmingham Conservatory of Stratford and RADA in London.
