Ticket purchases are non-refundable. Ticket exchanges may be made based on availability and the exchange must be requested at least 72 hours prior to the date of the original ticket. Exchanges with less than 72 hours notice will be made only if we are able to resell the tickets for the original date or will be subject to a 50% exchange fee. Additional charges will apply for exchanging preview tickets for non-preview performances or for exchanging weekday tickets for weekend tickets.
Subscribers may exchange up to 48 hours in advance without fee or penalty. However, additional charges will apply for exchanging preview tickets for non-preview performances or for exchanging weekday tickets for weekend tickets.
First Folio never cancels a summer show until at least 7:45 PM, so that we can wait and gauge the actual weather patterns rather than relying on forecasts, which are often incorrect and/or generalized to the entire Chicago region, and not our specific location. If we do cancel a performance, we will issue rainchecks which are good for any performance in the remainder of the run of the summer show.
If rain should start after the performance begins, we then base our decision on the severity of the rain. If it’s a light summer shower quickly passing over, the show will continue uninterrupted. A heavier or longer shower might necessitate halting the show and then resuming after the rain finishes. A serious storm will result in our halting the show for the night, at which time we will issue rainchecks per above.
