Christian Gray | Artistic Associate

Christian Gray was most recently seen at First Folio as the dim-witted Bertie Wooster in Jeeves in Bloom. He appeared last season in Votes for Women!, Mid-Winter’s Tales, and The Doctor’s Dilemma for ShawChicago, where he is an ensemble member; assistant directed Of Mice and Men for Oak Park Festival Theatre; appeared in the independent films The Balancing Game (DePaul Blue Light) and Plastic (Front Porch Productions). He has also appeared in First Folio’s outreach shows of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Shakespeare’s Warring and Wooing (as well as directing outreach productions of Romeo and Juliet and Shakespeare’s Warring and Wooing) for First Folio, and has previously appeared in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (1998), The Taming of the Shrew (1999 & 2005), Romeo and Juliet (2000), Much Ado About Nothing (2000), Twelfth Night (2002), The Importance of Being Earnest, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, Private Lives, Jeeves Intervenes, The Passion of Dracula, and A Moon for the Misbegotten. He has performed with over a dozen Chicago area companies, including Court Theatre, Remy Bumppo, and Writers’ Theatre. Regional credits include Fort Worth Shakespeare (TX), Kentucky Repertory, and Pennsylvania Stage Company. In October, he can be seen in the webisode series Classholes. He will return to First Folio in summer 2011 to play Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet.
